Carrot Cake Breakfast Smoothy

If you’re looking for a really healthy, yet indulgent tasting treat. Here is a great smoothy recipe that will kick start your morning.

This smoothy is high in omega 3 fatty acids from the walnuts and flaxseed, an essential anti inflammatory our bodies need, important for regulating metabolism, maintaining normal blood cholesterol levels among many other reported health benefits.

It also includes an energy boost from the banana and vitamin C from the carrots and oranges, to keep your immune system firing on all cylinders. This is great as a pre or post workout shake.


  • 2 cups almond or hemp milk
  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 oranges peeled
  • Dice sized chunk of ginger
  • Half tsp vanilla bean paste
  • 1 Tbsp ground flaxseed
  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 2 Tbsp. shredded coconut
  • Handful of walnuts

Blend and enjoy!
