Has the Matrix Got You?

The MatrixHave you seen the matrix movie? Do you recall this conversation between Neo and Morpheus that sets the scene for the matrix trilogy?
“Wake up Neo. The Matrix has you.” Morpheus says “It seems you’re feeling a bit like Alice tumbling down the rabbit hole. You have the look of a man who accepts what he sees, because he is expecting to wake up. You know that something is wrong with the world. You can’t explain it, but you feel it, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad.”

Neo says, “The Matrix?”

“Yes, the Matrix” says Morpheus “The world has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.”

“What truth?”

“That you were born into slavery, into a prison that you cannot see or smell…a prison of the mind…unfortunately, no one can tell you what the Matrix is; you have to see it for yourself. Take the Blue Pill, and you will wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. Take the red pill and you stay in Wonderland, and I’ll show you how deep the Rabbit Hole goes.”

What is the Matrix?

The matrix is the truth. A world beyond what you think you know, only visible when you make freedom and truth a priority. If you never see that the matrix exists, the matrix has you. You remain stuck inside it, experiencing life through a limited, subjective map of reality – your personal conditioned belief system.

This makes each of us different and uniquely wonderful, but if you think this is all there is you’re trapped. No matter how expansive your map, it is always limited to some degree.

Freedom is a Choice

Choose the red pill and you get to see an infinite array of possibilities, limited only by how disciplined you are with your attention. You go past boundaries, as the ‘less’ you think you know, the bigger your map becomes. You wake up to the fact that the experience of life is always created by attachment to your thinking. Therefore you don’t take life or your circumstances so seriously. In letting go the matrix loses its grasp, you regain control and you begin to see who you really are.

Choose the blue pill and life remains censored. You stay trapped by your mind, lost in a fabricated reality you believe to be the truth. You live life without questioning what’s possible. You give up on true freedom as your future remains governed by a limited, out of date map. This makes waking up your highest priority.
